What is Reiki?

Reiki is a system of Spiritual Healing originating from Japan. The word ‘Reiki’ means ‘Universal life energy’, the vital energy around and within all living things.

 

How does it work?

 

There are many forms of Reiki, they all work on different vibrations, levels on the human body and other bodies he have, however the original Japanese Reiki (Usui Teate Reiki) is a form of touch therapy in which the therapist uses a both the laying on of hands and distant healing techniques.

The therapists treats those parts of the body he or she senses are emitting weak energy, through Psychic and or Spiritual links with the client or patient, the links are established during a treatment.

This is formed by laying the therapists hands close to the site of the problem, or on the area that needs to be treated. This enables energy to start to flow through the therapist’s hands to the patient.

 

I offer a consultation prior to treatments, which I provide for anyone who wishes to ask Question’s or receive advise before the treatments. Consultations are Free Of Charge (FOC) if a booking is made, or the fee is returned to you. I do however charge a small amount of £10.00 is made if no booking is arranged purely for time and travel costs.

 

The History of Reiki

 

Reiki first started at the turn of the century by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese doctor. Dr Usui developed his healing system from Buddhist teachings and as a result of extensive travels, research and meditation.

This system of healing is also based on Sanskrit Teachings and has been developed over the years, it is accommodated, practiced and accepted in most western societies today. The story of Dr Usui's Spiritual Development starts with him hiding himself away in a mountain and fasting for 40 days, with him re-emerging from his experience with enlightened discoveries, and then chose to develop this experience into what’s known as Usui Teate Reiki, his story is still told today his legacy still continues and his legacy is taught to all of his students whoever your Reiki Teacher will be or is to be.

The Reiki principles - What Are They?

 

The Reiki principles are based on what every person who has or will use with, their own healing experience, their own journey, during Reiki through meditations and after Reiki.

With Reiki whether it be teaching, healing others or self healing, these simple but hard to grasp ways of thinking can and do change peoples lives, by using these principles and incorporating them into our own thoughts we are able to let go, heal and be rid of certain things in our lives that we would prefer not to have.

Using the principles has been proven over the years to have positive effects. They can be classes as a form of Metaphysics as they are based on positive thinking. I have added the principles below for you all to read, everyone has their own interpretation of them and everyone’s own principles are different except one thing.. They all originate from these or revolve around these 5 main principles.

What does a Reiki treatment entail and involve?

 

During a Reiki treatment, patients are not always but mainly asked lie on a massage table to facilitate their relaxation. During the treatment patients normally slip in and out of consciousness.

Many say they fall asleep during a treatment, while others see colours. Have a total sense of safety and security, warmth, love and happiness. Sometimes people shed tears, sometimes people feel so happy that the look on their faces is enough and no words are needed to say Thank You... sometimes there are no words!

 

The practitioner’s hands rest lightly in a sequence of positions on their fully clothed body, the aim being to provide a gentle warming vital energy. Normally feelings of heat or warmth are felt in the clients or patients body from the therapist’s hands, this is the Healing Energy working within the patient or clients own body.

A treatment normally lasts around anything from 45 minutes, which is recommended by most of not all of the organisations that govern and ensure Reiki is practised in the highest way possible to 1-1 ½ hours and clients can expect to pay around £25.

If you are asked to pay more than this then I would strongly recommend you find another Healer as I believe that even this amount is a little on the high side for a treatment, no matter how good the Healer claims to be!

 

I offer reduced prices for block bookings of treatments and healing sessions.

I also offer payment assistance for genuine reasons for not being able to afford treatment and I also consider paying in instalments for treatments, as I believe everyone should be able to experience Healing weather it be Reiki or another form, whoever and whatever the circumstances.

Quite often I hear and have heard people say..

“I would love to experience healing”…. But I can’t afford it!

 

So I decided to change that for everyone’s needs!

 

At this time of building this website I have a regular paid full time job so I only ask for something to cover my time, travel and cost materials when I’m required to work as a Healer.

 

Training as a practitioner in Reiki ....With me as your teacher

 

There are three levels of Reiki.

 

At First Degree, which is known as Shoden Level, the pupils learn to practice on themselves and others, this involves learning to heal yourself your own issues, ailments, problems and this works on a spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental state, so whatever is effecting you can be addressed and helped, once you complete this process you are able if you wish to move on the Second Degree, which most people do.

 

At Second Degree, which is known as Okuden Level, a powerful form of distant healing and a technique, which addresses the cause of problems, is learned.

You are now also attuned and empowered to be able to work with Reiki Healing on family and friends, and also the public if you choose to do so, or decide this is a kind of work you would like to do… like I did.

During this level you are introduced to The Reiki symbols are also given to you to use in Healing treatments, these are not for public knowledge and are only given to students, and I believe as many others do they should remain that way.

 

The Third Degree, which is known as Shinpiden Level is the final level and the becoming of a Reiki Master or Healer and is only for those who want to make a lifetime commitment to a spiritual path with Reiki – Living with it and Teaching it.

This pathway is not one to be seen as "Its only Reiki"  I can assure you it is and will be a very very important role to play in life, one not to be taken lightly, and one to be considered as a step to helping yourself and others for the rest of your time spent on the earth plain.

Teaching Reiki does not just involve showing people what to do with your hands, it involves showing people your experiences, helping people with similar experiences to your on, Showing them a way to deal with this, helping them, and getting them through what you come through.

 

I offer consultations in the form of Spiritual Counselling and can help you decide if you wish to progress to this stage, and it is with your own free will and the correct honest information that you can safely make your choice. During this degree you actually learn how to Teach Reiki, help others who are in need of Spiritual Guidance, Assistance.

 

In return for all of this I can offer you nothing or not promise you will be able to make a career from this but I can assure you that you get far more back in return if you ask for it on a Spiritual level, you can and will be shown how to heal yourself, and others, how to improve your quality of life and help others improve quality of life.

 

What kind of ailments can Reiki treat?

 

Reiki can be used to treat acute problems, such as:-

Accidental injuries

Burns

Minor breaks

Chronic problems, such as:- Asthma, Eczema and Headaches

Irritable bowel syndrome

Psoriasis

Emotional trauma

Mental Trauma

Addictions

I gave up smoking through learning Reiki, and learning to heal a addiction and I have also helped a number of people find a bit of peace in their lives, purely by showing them how to relax.

And show people that stress is merely a illusion .

About the Attunements

You may choose to have your attunements at a particular sacred place, which can be arranged in your own home or if you are requesting attunements in person they will be carried out in the Meditation room at my home.

Also in either case.. you have a extra option to help you where time is concerned. You can use the orb of life if preferred to setting times for your attunements. (Please refer to orb of life page for more information on what this is)

Once you decide please give me your preferred times, and dates. Attunements may take longer for some depending on the person. I just follow my intuition with help from my guides when I have attunements.
